Xenon headlights upgrade

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hi, im new to the forum and am planning to buy an EX35 Journey. i wanted xenon headlights but i realized inorder to get factory hid, you have to get the premium pkg. i didn't want to pay more for things i didnt want. can i just have the bulbs replaced w/ xenons (factory, not aftermarket)? can the dealer do it for me at a low cost. does the replacement have to include the whole housing, or just the bulbs will do? will it affect the vehicles warranty in such case? hope someone here can enlighten me, thanks in advance.

It is my understanding that you need to replace the whole headlight unit, it is very expensive. If you want Xenon, I would recommend buying the premium package. I have the premium package with the Xenon lights and they sure work well. You get the power folding seat, comes in very handy, I think you will like it. The package might not be the same on the 2010, I have a 2009. Good luckScott

Thanks Scott. the dealer told me the premium pkg for 2010 is similar to 2009 except the roof rails are in the pkg w/c means it is no longer standard equip on the journey models. my problem is the dealer also couldn't tell me how much is the actual cost of the upgrade. they no longer have any 2009 w/ prem. pkg but i heard the 2010 no longer features the scratch shield paint.

Hello. I got an EX35 Journey and I also wanted the Xenon lights. Unfortunately had to settle for changing the bulbs to Blue "Xenon Like" ones. It looks really good and they shine fine but now I have to re-align the headlamps (the light shines really close to the front bumper - with not enought 'depth').

I am not sure why (maybe the difference in wavelength for the white color makes the beam project closer - or something weird like that). I was wondering if any of you knows how to align the lights - i tried looking for screws or manual adjusters from inside the hood but found nothing. I may have missed them since the space is pretty cramped? Any help will be highly appreciated!

These guys sell a conversion kit. I don't know if anyone here has done it on EX35. Lot of people on the Lexus forum did it and say these kits are fantastic.

I just created a post asking if it has been tried on EX35 by a forum member.
