Xenon Headlights - Projector Beam vs. Non-Projector Beam??

Hi all, I just bought my first G35 Coupe and it sure is NICE! Anyways, I am corn-fused, do both style headlights (projector beam vs. regular looking) have the H.I.D. bulbs. I noticed my lights started out a bright light bluish and then with in a few seconds they were even brighter and I could see them getting brighter within the few seconds it took.......and these are the headlights that look like regular lights and not the projector beam headlights? Do both styles have the HID setup and can I swap the projector beam versions in if I already have the HID headlights and so-called ballasts???

both styles have the HID system...since the lights are HID...it takes a few seconds for the xenon gas to warm up to the correct temperature..it happens with all HID lights...(OEM and after market)..you could swap the headlights for a projector set up..but the ballasts wont have to be swapped..the ballast will be able to power either set up (projector or non-projector)..i think the bulbs are also the same...

reading that you have a 2003 coupe..i've read somewhere on this site that the coupe headlights from the 03-05 (non-projector) can be easily replaced with the 06-07 headlights (projectors)

I think one set would have the shields for HID, the other would not (or at least not need them). I also think it is the 06 unit you may be thinking about not the 07.
