I had a McCulloch kit that I had in my previous car. I just need the H11 Bulbs. They are 4200k and match the headlights decently, not exactly. The fogs have a bluish tint to them. They put more light out on the road then the stock halogen fogs did. You really don't need much of an instruction to do this. It literally took me 10-15 minutes. Access to the fogs is very easy. No bumper removal. There is a splash guard under the front bumper that you need to gain access to in order to unplug the fogs. The ballasts are mounted safely on either side. One near the battery and one on the other side of the engine bay.shift_mikey wrote:SHIFT_COUPE what kit did you use for the fogs? any step by steps? what color K did you use? I was doing my first oil change and scoping out the room for ballasts and what not. Did you have to remove the bumper?
You are correct sirSHIFT_CR wrote:If im correct, the headlight housing are the same on the HID coupes and the base coupes?
Its rather decieving. from the drivers seat you WOULD think the coupe has projectors. There is a nice flat beam on the horizon. you may not have that difinitive sharp line that projectors have, but definitly a flat line you could put a level on LOLjmanpatsfan wrote:Those dont look bad at all, i was expecting something different. Have you ever driven a car with projector HID's such as a Murano or Maxima? How do the Altima's lights compare? I currently have a Murano with HID's and I love them.
Its on there alreadySerkle K wrote:did you have to add a seperate switch for the fog control? or is that on the signal stalk already?
Thanks for pointing that out. My driveway does have an incline to it, thats why they are slightly up.rfx45 wrote:SHIFT_COUPE, it seems like your headlights are aimed too high. It doesn't light up the ground at all when only the headlights are on. The again, you could be parked at an incline so I could be wrong. Just a safety concern.
The stock Xenon is that 4100 or 4300k? I'm getting the xenon headlight from 3.5se sedan and put in to my 2.5sl sedan. Hopefully it's almost plug n play in terms of mounting and wiring.SHIFT_COUPE wrote:The Altima headlight uses a D2R bulb in a reflective housing. No projector as you've already learned. I added an HID kit to my fogs, normally they are standard halogen.
