Lego Star Wars: the Complete Saga and Saints Row 2.

SR2 is basically GTA with a sense of humor again. But the best part is the online coop...you get free run of the whole city with a friend. Twice the havok. And coop mode even still supports cheats, so there's tons of destruction to be had. You can actually play through the whole game (missions included) cooperatively.

PGR 3 and 4, Bioshock 1 & 2, The Orange Box, Gears of War, any of the COD franchise and a ton of gamerpoints so you can download DLC and arcade games, plus you need to get either one of the Rockbands or Guitar Hero's.

Might I also suggest any of the Halo games, Rainbow 6 Vegas (R6V2 wasn't as good but it's not crap either) Definitely get your hands on Fallout 3 GOTY edition, and NFS:MW or Carbon. NFS Prostreest was garbage and Undercover was meh at best.

Overall it all depends on what you like to play and what kind of gamer you really are. If you play mostly PC games like MOD then some of these of the games I suggested would be better on the PC.

Mass Effect if you like Sci-Fi movies. Halo Wars if you like RTS. Fable 2 if you like Zelda type RPGs. Gears of War just because it kicks butt! ...and Ace Combat if you like flying Games.

Amazon has good deals on accessories. They sell the 12 month subscription for $39.99 shipped.

relax....it's a third person Action RPG. How would you describe Fable to someone who has never played it?

lol...

I've played Fable...the first one anyway.

as for the COD games...I'll stick with them on PC. It's MUCH easier to aim with a mouse.

sadly, over the past 10 years, the fighting game genre has really seemed to peter out

Street Fighter 4 was ok...but to me, with all the annoying combos and special attacks and options on the characters, it lost the playability of the early games. (I'm talkin' II and Super Streetfighter here).

something I've seen coming out soon that got me interested is L.A. Noire though...I'm all for a 30's era detective game using the GTA engine.

at some point, when I have time and get another router, I'll get on Live...maybe later today, depends on how long I've got to work.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance is a must have especially if you like comic book hero's. Midnight Club LA is also a really good arcade driving game, but it has glitches in it that were never addressed. If you can get online there are several must have XLA games that you need to download, N+, Peggle, Trials HD, Portal if you don't pick up The Orange Box, plus a handful of others.

Basically it all depends on what you like to play, if you are looking forward to LA Noire, then you need to get The Godfather, and Mafia as they are in the same time frame.

ROFL. I dunno...anything but Zelda? Zelda isn't an RPG.

Then what would you call Zelda, I mean you level up, you have to buy armor, potions, weapons and equipment, you have to learn magic spells, you do specific quests/challenges, you have to interact with NPC to level up, get quests, and level up, and the fighting is turn based. It sure sounds like an RPG to me.

I'm with MoD on this one. I'd consider Zelda more of an action oriented game as the outcome of onscreen actions is not determined by any statistics, but by direct control from the player.

Additionally you don't make any decisions that alter alignments or NPC reactions in the game. I find it hard to classify anything without either alignment system or characteristics/stats as a true RPG.

James,

If you want Forza 3 I'll sell you my copy... I'll be done with my copy in a week or so I bet. I was going to put it on ebay when I finish playing it.

Dude...NONE of this crap is a part of Zelda. What are you talking about? There's NO leveling in Zelda. There's no learning spells in Zelda. There are no quests in Zelda. The combat is always real-time. You don't buy weapons and armor except in very rare circumstances. It's not like an RPG where you upgrade your armor to improve your stats...there may be different armor types, but they're all tradeoffs with a cost to be used strategically, like better swimming at the cost of increased damage.

Zelda is not an RPG. It's an action/adventure game. There are no stats, no character development, and no leveling. You follow a linear story with linear objectives. There's no getting "quests" from NPCs. You simply follow the story.

Other than Zelda 2 (Which had leveling IIRC), I'd call the franchise more of a platforming action puzzler with RPG elements.

Yeah, Zelda II did have leveling, but it's the only one.

Congrats on the new purchase! I love MW2 on the 360 and strictly play online but I'm not a PC gamer and have a good group of adults that I play with. We all communicate and actually work together, it's awesome.

I highly recommend:
