My parents got me a wireless router for christmas. It's a Netgear Wireless-G router part #WGR614 on front of box, WGR614NA on bottom. The box says 54mbps. I'm curious if it's too slow for XBOX Live. I have a Linksys RT41-BU wired router now. I just got satelite internet (I live out in the boonies) and with this set up I'm having trouble playing online with all but 1 game (which is still laggy but playable) GRiD. I'm hesitant to take the Netgear out of the box in fear of it not being up to par with Live sence my gaming experience has dropped ever sence I got the dish. I was looking into exchanging it for a better/faster router. Forgive me, my computer skills is almost non-existant. I can't seem to find any specs on my Linksys to tell me the mbps so I don't know if the Netgear is better or not.

Any help would be great.

Wireless G is an industry standard, so no matter the brand or model all wireless G routers provide the same data rates (mbps).
