Xbox Live gamertag HELP

Ok, i have one xbox 360 two gamer tags,Andy F 1765 gamer score ( the one with all of my saves/completed games no xbl)andATG Thriller 12 -512 gamer score ( the one that i dont use but has xbl)

as it is, Andy F doesnt even have a xbl accout, so its not even a silver member, i tried to get it onto xbl, but this allways leads me to creation of a new gamertag, witch i dont want seeing as i just want Andy F on xbl, does anybody know how to fix this problem? Anyone at all?

Why couldnt ms just allow you to switch info from profile to profile

You shouldn't need to create a new account. Try looking at every option on the screen and one should allow you to continue with out creating a new account.

Update us. with screen shots of your xbox so we can help further.

this is normal. This is the only time you will get to change your gamertag for free. You will still keep all the gamerpoints on the Andy F account tied in whatever new gamertag you use. Let me know if this makes sense.

yeah thanks, now i get it, they wanted me to create a new gamertag...... i thought I couldnt keep the points...
