Hey guys,i was at a shop today called xat racing in Clearwater Florida,and they told me they did a few sr20det swaps already,and i'm most probably gonna do mine over there.

They took me for a test drive today,and with 3 people sitting in the car,it pulled real hard,i was very impressed by the sr.

Anyway,they're offering me to buy my car from me,and then i buy that same car from them with the engine installed,so that i can get financed and don't have to pay everything at once.The prices are alittle high for the installation,but i figure it won't be so bad when i don't have to pay it all at once.It's around $4800 for the engine and the swap,and they guarantee the engine if under 50k miles.Anyway,anyone had any experiances with em?I tried searching,but i couldn't find a single thread about it.

I don't know anything about the shop but I do have a question. 4800 for the engine and the install.. Does that include anything else? any parts?

Well,the stock intercooler and piping i guess,but no nothing else.They can also sell you aftermarket BOV,fuel pumps,FMIC,and all kinds of stuff.

$4800 is really high for an engine and install. I would rethink that. It would be much cheaper to buy an engine from say HT or daunt and then have a local shop instal. Like 1k less.

I was gonna buy from daunttles but i don't have the money,this way i'll be paying it off.

BTW.I just found out that florida doesn't have those laws about engines and catalystic converters.The engine is totally legal here in florida.
