Hello Guys, I am about to replace the starter on my 2003 X-Trail. Could someone tell me about where on the bottom the starter is? I think it's on the left side, but not sure. I was looking for a diagram online, but couldn't find one. Thanks, Tamas.

I THINK an X-trail is called a Pathfinder in the US, so this may do better in that section, but a quick search shows me that the X-Trail came with 4 different engine options, none of which were engine options in the US. That being said, those engines were available in other cars in the US, so if you can tell us what engine you have, we should be able to help.

 You only have to pay for the fast download connection. Click on the link marked Regular download, it's a throttled slower download speed, but it's free.

He just said, it's not a pay site. You just click regular download. Also, T30 is not the engine code, it's the chassis code.

or slide underneath with a flashlight. virtually all starters look the same, and they're all attached to the bellhousing of the transmission. there really aren't too many places they can be hiding.
