are there any alumni here? or is anyone planning on going in the near future. i plan to go there around june 2004 or so, whenever that session starts. i have been totally convinced to go there now. we had a recruiter come to our autotech class a couple of months ago, and he got me to thinking about it. i've done my research i think it's the school for me. i was just wondering if anyone else on here had any opinions. it is a bit pricey, around $23,000 for the 9 month session, but i think they help you out if you maintain A's, and perfect attendance. i am so pumped to go there now, because my heart is set on it. i never really knew what i was going to do after high school. nothing ever excited me. NOW i know.

Holy shiz!!! $23,000 a year is a bunch of crap. Americans get absolutely :owned on tuition!
Canadian schools are half of that, in our money. On average $10,000 a year.In 1 year, I'm going to be in one of the nations top schools in BC working on a fully paid scholarship. I suggest you try and find some of these, a little searching will save you ENORMOUS amounts of money!

I too have been considering Wyotech.
I just requested an info packet from their website the other day and was contacted by a representative via phone, too.
Unfortunately I live a bit too far away (I'm in SC), but I have been to Wyoming and I think it rocks. If I could afford it, and didn't have a fiance who was so adament about remaining in his home state, I'd probably go.

23,000 is an exaggeration basically, because you can end up going there for free if you maintain all A's, don't spend all your money on food(they give you 1000 for food for the 9 months that you're there, maybe more or less, idk)and if you do some other things, you can basically not end up spending any money. no one ever hardly ends up paying the full 23,000. only those people who don't attend and don't try in school. how old are you stickgoat?

i've thought about going there. i dont know much about it, so i need to go to their website and get one of those information packets or whatever. i know that i want to do something with cars after high school, and whotech seems to be a real good school. we have a Technical College here in Bowling Green, and i thought about going to it. But i'll see if i want to later on. next semester i'm going to take a class out there i think. as a senior in high school, i'm not gonna have much to do. so i might as well go out there and try and learn more about what i love. i kinda wanted to remain in state to go to college too, so i don't know. we'll see

I want to go somewhere like that, but I don't know, i mean my parents want me to go to a university since i'm so smart and they say i'll be squandering my existence if i go to a trade school. they're probably right but i really don't fuucking care cause i'm not just going to be a car guy. by the time i'm dead i'll probably have gone to 10 different colleges and schools and stuff like that. i just love learning about stuff i like. too bad i'm not doing so hot in high school.

Maybe i'll go to an art school or something, but industrial design has to be the most rare college major. and everywhere that has it has to have some fancy portfolio. what the fuuck? does anyone know of any colleges anywhere that have Industrial design? that's what i really want to do, cause all i do all day is draw cars anyways, why not get paid for it

i know i don't get what happened to me. i used to be really smart and all. my parents have been going insane the last few years. they'll never get my car though. i think at this point though, they just want me to have a job that gets decent money, so they don't mind too much if i go to a tech school.

there are a precious few of us wyomingites on here*L*
BTW wyotech is a great school and is one hell of a party school.
i have several friends that went there. i would have done their street rod program (about the only program ive ever seen that teaches custom body work and building your own chassis) if i could have swung the 23K tuition. you wouldn't belive how hard it is to get financial aid for tech schools.
i even know of an SR swapped 240 right here in cheyenne (probably the only one in wyoming)

good luck!!!! especially if you are not used to the cold i graduated wyotech in 96 and have never regreted anything that i did there-i took the automotive and applied service management courses and that has helped me to accel above those other retards that said that it won't make any difference-i am making an average of 4$ per flat rate hour more than friends that decided not to go to any schooling i have also been promoted faster than those guys. just remember that even if you don't go to wyo tech be sure to have some schooling-the more the better!!!

no, it's too far away. i'd rather do the REAL thing anyways. Laramie is a nice little cozy town. I love the environment there, and they actually have some good Mexican restaurants!:ylsuper

i've got to tell you-i went to uti for 3 phases-short class time-unknowlegeable instructors and outdated material-it was the biggest waste of money that i have ever spent-plus it is far more expensive than wyotech-everyone that i know that graduated from there was extremely disapointed-do the homework before making a decision
