I'm up to perform fuel system service in my 97q45. Was going to do BG service, but Firestone near me has offered me 3-stage Wynns fuel service for $80. Is it equivalent to analog of BG 3-stage service? That's what I found online about ithttp://www.wynns.ca/pages/engl....htmlWhat do you guys think?

B&G has the best rep in the industry, but I have onbly heard good things about Wynns as well.

If you have no idling issues (vibration etc) then anything would be helpful - otherwise the so much discussed "power balance" test perhaps can only be done mostly at the dealership - $89.99 for the fuel injection service + the power baalnce test at the dealership. (NO decarb & No gas tank solution).

The 3 stage service commonly referred to includes:

1. Fuel rail flush2. DeCarb solution using the vacuum port3. gas tank additive.

I think doing #2 & #3 is no brainer [easy DIY] - the more interesting one is the #1 and if coupled with Power balance test, $89.99 at the dealer ship is not that bad a price (IMHO).
