This is a great thread, just wanted to inquire about the pricing for cluster lights in white before signing up. My white piaa 194 bulbs just don't quite match the autometer boost gage. If you guys are into coating your needles, it's tedious and if you only do the top and sides (not the back) with like a stained glass paint it can be done. Makes it a bit harder to see my needles in the daytime though. Here's an old pic:daytime:s***ty night time pic: I think doug has a better one in his photobucket.

Hey do you have any pics? I wanna get led tail lights but I don't want to spend money on bull crap.

my buddy was asking me to put a night pic up on another forum too. i only have this one, and this was just the running light mode and it was in my dark a** driveway. if you want more just pm me, im planning on taking some @ the gas station so there is more ambient light & taking a couple pics : running lights, brake lights. but trust me, they are very bright!

i noticed that you have the autometer phantom 2 led boost gauge. i have gauges of that series but for oil press & water temp, i love em! & i have been searching for pics of ppl's clusters that have led's installed. i too want to match the cluster to my gauges. if you find anything that comes close to matching, let me know!

on the super bright site they're listed as

"194/168 WLED-x5 LED Wide Angle LED bulbs" mine are cool white.

^ thanks man, they look pretty close to the white my led gauges are. i just wrote down the bulb size, but dont have time to tear into my cluster till winter break , ill get em in "eventually"

I would try to post up the lights needed but I'm in Wyoming for the week. Also there is no definite light swap because of the choices available. You can have all the LEDs facing out or they have some with various multiples of LEDs facing all directions. And the prices vary from type to type. I'm going to do the 360 5 led bulbs for my cluster, and I'll get the bulbs with the most LEDs formy exterior. I was unsure which bulbs to try at first but everyones pics have helpedme decide. I'll try to find out about the group buy this week. I would liketo swap bulbs when I get back home.

So I got impatient and ordered a few 194 5 way LEDs from http://www.v-leds.com/ and I must say that their customer service is some of the best I've seen. 2 hours after I ordered them my lights were already shipped out to me. This is way better than most companies who sit on your order for a few days. I was thouroughly impressed. If their product is half as good as their cs then they are well worth the money. I did go to superbrightleds first, but I prefer using paypal for online purchases. Will post pics when I get them installed.

so im confused, for the cluster lights they are just 194 5 way led?or 360? im confused as hell.

The 360 degree means the light is spread out 360 degrees or a full circle. The 194 is the typeof bulb meaning a wedge type bulb number 194. Which is the bulb size for my dash. The 5 way means one led on five sides. This will not only provide light 360 degree. Or a full circle but also shines light up creating a sort of dome of light. I decided to try this due to the full coverage of light in every direction in a way as a normal 194 incadesant bulb.

have you looked at the 5 high power smd leds. theyre on the second page. so instead of just 5 regular leds on one. its 5 high power smd leds on one. im looking into getting those.

Does any one know what size and the interior lights on an s14 might be...(hazard light, defrost light, the door panel lights, clock light) i want to LED them all so the can match the cluter and Hvac LEDS

i decided to go with v-leds too. i was originally going to go with superbrightleds but i heard so many good things about v-leds and theyre website seems really organized and helpful. superbrightleds is like going to costco, its just a bunch of s*** to go through and no information. i loved that v-leds had reviews and real pictures of the product. also the fact that you could pick between 5k and 6k. i really didnt want a blue tint which i know 6k has. so i went with white 5k for the cluster and license plate. superbrightleds didnt offer this which made my stomach sick. heres the ones i got. not cheap but should be hella cool3 sets of these:$30http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior....html1 set of these:$10http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior....html

I've heard good things, I've heard bad things. It's all up to you. However, I have used http://www.v-leds.com before and it's absolutely awesome. So the choice is all yours. I got the 13 LED white 194s in my front indicators. Keep in mind, these aren't even the brightest they sell.

he has the 13 high power leds on one. i bought 5 of the 5 high power leds. so total ill have 25 leds in the cluster. so basically take his lights and stick them in my gauges

just ordered more stuff from v leds. i still need to get taillight bulbs but the cheap ones in the size i need are $25 a pair, so it'll be a little till i can spend $100 just on taillight bulbs
