That site that was posted above gave a layout of what the price per gallon is made up of...
31% of the price is taxes...
If you paid for gas that was tax free in 2002, Then the average price of gas would be $0.93 per gallon....
(1.35 x .31 = .4185 1.35 - .42 = $0.93)
Above is only a look at gas prices, don't take it too seriously
