Do yourself a favor and buy tools now

$500 can get you all that you need to work on a car

It's cheaper in the long run and more self gratifying.

My first engine swap was RB20 into S13 hatch. Other than that it was mainly suspension/light mechanic work. My motto is "cars are just like legos". There is no experience like hands on. If you have an extremely bad memory(myself) and you can't remember Jesus' first name then label everything and make diagrams. My friend and I are so good at swapping now that we don't drain the radiator or the transmission. We just pulling the engine from the top with tailshaft, transmission, engine and cooling system still intact. So just get out there and like STARSKY says "DEW IT! DEW IT!" .... . ...... . ..and as a great man once said "BE WATER MY FRIEND!"

i would say do it yourself. go buy some nice tools like they said. 500 bucks for tools is cheaper than labor anyhow plus you still have stools. you can find out how to the swap from faqs on here or heavythrottle.com there are plenty of people here to answer questions you might have. look at my car during my swap (pic in sig). it took me two months to finish but i changed EVERYTHING and worked full time and went to school full time. i vote do it yourself. btw, this was my first swap too =)
