wth is wrong with it?

wth is wrong with my car...ok i have a 1990 240rb20det and when i first got the car which was like almost a month ago now...it would mess up sometimes by not letting me rev over 2500 rpms and the idle would fluxuate from 1000-2000 rpms...soo i cleaned my MAF sensor...it worked for like 2-3 weeks...now its doing the same thing again...im pretty pissed...is it the MAF sensor or is it something else..if it is the MAF sensor should i replace it? and what MAF sensor should i put in if i do need a new MAF..thanks for the help peace.....

did you try cleaning it again? you could replace it if you have one available to you, or if any body you know has rb20det borrow theirs and put it in before you buy one and find out yours is fine. but i *believe* it is a common problem with the rb20 MAF.

hmmm...i was gonan try and clean it again tomm morning...but i dunno anyone around here with a rb20 or even a 240 lol..pretty uncommen around here...and i just got here..but is there any other MAF that would work well on a rb20det...

ic ic...i know a z32 bolts right in, and i *think* a Q45 does too.. or another rb one..

cool..well i just cleaned it and it wasnt too bad...cuz i cleaned it a few weeks ago...but when i took her out there was no problem...i hope it stays that way...i also checked my codes...they came up good...i reset my ecu...the codes still came up good...soo i dont know what else the problem can be if its not my MAF..but thanks for the info

sounds like either a dodgy ECT sensor or some shoddy maf wiring.how did you extend the maf? butt connectors or soldering?
