wtf wipers?

As the title says...wtf. Driving down the road today, wipers quit working. I pull over, check the fuse. A-okay. I pop the hood, check the wires to the motor. Seems good to me.

So I flip the stalk and I can hear the wiper motor trying to move the wipers, but to no avail. I can move the wipers freely by hand. I don't know what that means, as I've never tried it before. I even moved the wipers with the motor on, in the hopes that they'd start working again. Nope.

Could it be the motor itself? Or has something come loose?

seems like the linkage from the motor to the wipers is broken or loose. You probably have to remove the wiper motor and check the back of it where it hooks up to the wipers.

Linkage did come loose. I figured it had messed up somewhere between the wipers and the arms. Popped off the guards and fiddled with the linkage for about ten minutes and it went back on. Thanks.
