WTF!? turbo just stopped working PLS HELP!

I just replaced the turbo last weekend with a used unit from heavy throttle. Its been driving fine, Today it was driving fine all day. then i came home for about an hour, went to leave and turbo only boosting to about 3psi, and it takes a while to do that.cant tell you exact revs b/c i dont have tach yet. but i have to shift by the time it makes 3thanks sean

Sounds like a boost leak, I would go back and check all the clamps...

i guess it could be that, i didnt hear anything tho and we did just redo it this past weekend, but stranger things have happened. ill have to check it, hopefully though it will fix itself like my last problem

vac leak or boost leak, waste gate might be opeing for a wrong reason

Sounds to me like your wastegate actuator rod popped off. Usually the turbo will still make some boost waaayyy up in the revs, which it sounds like is what your car is doing. Those damndable little C-clips are easy to lose and hard to put back on!

ya i didnt get time to check the intercooler hoses yet but i did pour some water on them to see if i see bubbles, i think i hear some sort of boost leak when driving, And I dont start to hear the turbo spooling until way up in the revs. so maybe its that clamp deal. tomorrow ill really check the piping. if i gotta take that turbo and **** apart again ill go on a goddamn killing spree.thanks for the inputsean
