replaced the thermostat twice so far, 1st one was autozone junk, 2nd one replced with OEM Nissan t-stat and worked fine until last night.

new water pump 3 months ago.new Mishimoto Radiator 3 months ago.

today i noticed a little coolant where my rad cap is so i checked to see if it was tight....it was but not all the way so now it is tight. Then i blead the system again and i fee like the thermostat isnt working now.

I have no heat again even after bleeding the system and thats how i know its going to overheat (when i have no heat). The resevoir is full past the max line when it starts to overheat so im thinking the t-stat isnt working again.

Can slightly overheating the motor cause a t-stat to go bad?

or what else can it be?

You should search previous threads to see if you same issue as others, you may have another problem that is related to something else that has to do with water temp/cooling

What do you mean you have no heat? Is there antifreeze in the passenger floorboard? You may want to check if it's wet

Do you have too much water in your coolant? Did you bleed the system properly with the car on jackstands?

i had this issue recently as well.

it turned out that too much water in the radiator and it sat overnight = frozen lower radiator hose = no coolant circulating through motor.

Solution is to thaw the motor out and then use the proper amount of antifreeze + distilled water.

Also, does your radiator fan work?

You could also have a blockage (sludge, etc.) in the cooling system. Get your cooling system flushed out.

no blead the system properly, ive done it about 20 times before.

yes i put it up on jack stands with the front up and heat on full blast.

i think it might have been that the rad cap wasnt on tight enough....i took out the thermostat to check it and it looked fine so i put it back in and added more coolant and water and blead the system again.

As of now, so far so good but it did this last time too. It lasted about about a week until it overheated again.

oh and fukin240....no the passenger floor isnt wet and by no heat, i mean the heat doesnt blow hot air....at its best it will get to barely warm bus mostly just cool air.

This is when i know im going to soon have an overheating problem.

If the heater doesn't work right and your engine is overheating the cylinder head cooling channels are clogged, either by air (needs to be bled) or more likely sludge.
