Yes the car cranks and the engine turns. The damn thing is flodded in fuel. When i took out the spark plugs the bottom of it has got gas in it. Is it suppose to be like that or is it suppose to be dry?Ekinchheng wrote:Does the car crank or when you turn the car nothing happens?
When i turn the ignition on it makes that starter noise and the engine turns over but it doesnt seem to wanna start. I have replaced my spark plugs, ignition coil, distributor cap, distributor rotor, fuel filter, new starter, what else could be causing this problem?cmfireman wrote:I tried to help last night but this cranking thing got too confusing.
What EXACTLY does your car do when you turn the ignition??
Also, have you checked all the underhood and kickpanel fuses?
I had the car running for a week 1/2 straight and now it is not turning on. Also a mechanic checked and said that my timing looks like its in the right position.nissans13240sx wrote:maybe ur distributor is in wrong. take it out and turn the motor to TDC also make sure the timing marks are lined up with the mark on the cover. then put the rotor in the distributor right before first cylinder. then put it back in.
Yes all wiring is in properly. Checked them all. Spent about 2 hours doing it. No vacuum leaks and it is the original engine. I had a mechanic rebuilt the engine for me and the car was running fine for about a week 1/2 and now it wont even start. My mechanic told me that it might be my ignition module, since they are the ones that usually go first. I also had an overheating problem for about 3 days but then i got that fixed and it still ran. then couple days later it started doing this.Ekinchheng wrote:Did you check all your engine wiring? Any vacuum leaks? Also check your intake vacuum, make sure it fits properly. Also is this the orignal engine or did you put a new engine in?
Thats messed up. I have never heard of that before. Should i give it a shot? is it likely to be the problem? but why would it not work when the timing is in the right place? i dont understand.Soravia wrote:I had the same issue. Fixed by getting the TDC on Compression Strok instead of Exhaust Stroke. That's a 180 degree off timing. Looks as if it's all right but it is not.
Also had the distributor cap and rotor bent a bit. Had to replace them.
