WTF RB25DET transmission

I'm grinding in 5th gear! the only time it won't grind is in low rpm but if I'm pulling though the gears and go to 5th I'm greeted with a nice GRIND!!!!!!. I have that Amsoil transmission fluid in it right now.

One of the insert springs probably came out. you can replace them without taking the sliders off, its probably attached to the magnet on the drain plug

So that means I need to pull the trans and open it up to change that spring out?

correct, they are the same springs used in the Z32 trans..

here is a picture of one.. they are only used on 3/4 gear and 5th/reverse

Fuk if I'm doing that ill prob be changing other s*** too. I'll add that to my list of s*** that I might do lol. Looks like I'm fixing the RB20 trans 1st since I don't want the down time.
