Got up, warmed her up, went to work. Didn't boost hard or anything. Just a normal drive to work. Come out to my car 10 hours later, and it start like normal, but something is wrong. Sounds like it is running on 2 cylinders. I let it sit, and it seems to go away. Idles fine, revvs ok, pull normal vacuum. But shakes and sounds like a$$. I can drive it (drove it home) and boosts fine. Get home, sounds like crap still, but a little better than initial start up. Any thoughts? I assume to check normal stuff like coils and injectors (although it smelled HELLA RICH when I was poking around the hood just now when I got home, so I think injectors are fine)

How is your O2 sensor? Have you replaced it? If you did did you use the right one?

Sounds like you got an intermittent bad coil, hence when it miss fires it runs rich due to unburnt gas, an ignitor is another possibility.

Good luck,

New O2 sensor last week. Bosch OEM one from NAPA. Cost me a damn $65 :(

Looks like it is time to bust out the FSM yet again. Aaahhh the joys of it all. Well, it ran perfect for a week :(:(:(

Guess it was a gremiln. Started and seems to run fine. Which could be the problem? Ignitor or coils? I think I am going to buy both this Friday (payday ) and just hang onto the little buggers for just in case...

Scratch that. Started to revert a bit, then it went away. Then it came back. then it went away. O'Reilley wants $45 a peice for the coils! Looks like I will need a few:(
