I think they plan to come out with a new one in a couple of year. With the M out and the new Qs are so bloated, sales have suffered.

Hell, I was shocked there was even an '06.

How about a Quattroporte-level performance sedan? I see them at the Maserati dealer on my way home from work, and it seems like great inspiration for the next Q, should one come about.

What? How can you say that?

I have it on good information that almost 300 of them were sold during the first 6 months of the year...Heck, that's almost 50 a month!

All indications DO point to a new Q45 in the works, most likely as a 2008-2009 model.

It would likely go directly up against the LS460.

Hopefully we'll see a long-wheelbase version and a V10/V12, but who knows.

I agree about the Quattroporte comment, I think that'd be the perfect mold to cast the car in, considering its heritage.

We still can't sell our brand new '05 model Q that's been here since late '04. But they are absolutely not killing off the Q, they're just not going to produce the F50 in the states anymore after the '06 model year. Don't worry, they'll finally get it right with the new Q, just like they got it right with the M.

Yep, I think they should move the Q up the line, now that the M has virtually replaced it. A direct long-wheelbase competitor to the LS460 would be perfect.

If only they would go this direction, but Nissan loves to ape Toyota so look for an over burdened luxury float with all the gee-gaws like the new LS460 (and S class, and 750, and A8).

The 5 and the M series are all that are left of luxury performance sedans. Maybe Lexus will drop the 460 and 8 speed into the GS, and allow one to turn off the nannies.

I forgot who showed me, but I've seen a picture of the 2008 or 2009 Q! It looks nice and it said "Q Series" not Q45. I thought it was Evan, but it may have been someone else.
