Is not every Passover when the entire family gets drunk regardless of age?

Quebec is the rebelious province of Canada that fights for its independence, and this sad scenario of its society having drinking problems may be a consequence because big Canada won't allow them to be "free".

IIRC, the only reason why the U.S. has a high drinking age is because they're trying to protect your liver. It's still developing, like the rest of your body, until 23 for men and 21 women.

I think a bigger factor has been the amount of (alcohol related) deaths that occurred in the under 21 age group when the legal drinking age was lower in most states.

The article notes the province permitting underage drinking in the presence of the kids' parents. It does not mean the kids can now purchase alcoholic beverages, or drive under the influence, or hangout in bars getting loaded.
As info, there are many US states that have similar underage exceptions to the 21 minimum drinking law.

Yeah, sorry about that, it should say, "the original reason."

I agree with Bubba here. That is the main reason why 'back in the good ol' days' when the drinking age was 18? it was raised to 21.

People shouldn't even have their licenses before 17. Mix in alcohol, and everyone will be killing themselves.

Not like I care cause parents have the main foot in raising the kid, RIGHT. But I don't want to be on the road at all with anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

But its perfectly ok if I do it. Only because I've been driving since I was 8 years old. (lived in the country, lol)
