So I buy an igniter off eBay because (of course) my motorset didn't have one. Took the guy a month to get it to me. It just showed up and the ENTIRE back of it is missing. Like I can see the board inside and this kind of gel that is surrounding it. Is this in some why normal? I'll get pics up later when my rommie wakes up (camera is his)

I know it is silly, but I really need some feedback guys. Is this fixable? More than likely, I am screwed out of the $50 if it is not.

It looks okay. I just can't beleive this jerk sold me a busted up ignitor. Anyone have ideas for sealing it? Or would it even be worth it?

That gel is normal and if very important that it stays there. As far as a back piece, I'm not sure.

I am going to try getting some plastic and either super glue or silicone. Mabye that could work.

Well I really got to looking at it and it has 3 broken wires: 2 at the solder points and 1 little wire is actually snapped in half. I called my lawyer (good thing he is my mom's best friend) and I filed through eBay. The jerk is trying to say that it is ok and that it is not his fault. Yeah right. I could understand if it just didn't work, but the whole friggin back side busted out and the innards messed up....that is another story.

And the fact that there is no pieces of it in the bag (yes...he shipped that in a flimsy little plastic baggie from CANADA), so it had to be pre-ship damage.
