wtf is wrong

has anyone done a HUD to anagol swap in a ka24e 240sx?? I did and now my speedo doesnt read. i dont have the car runing and it is reading 35 mph. What is the problem, i already replaced the speed sensor.

Are you sure the cluster was 100% working before?

Did you make sure you have a sohc tachometer in the cluster as well?

those are the only 2 immediate things I can think of.

the guy i got it off of(my friend), said it worked.

and yes it is a sohc tach, he stoped using it cause he swaped a kade in

given that no one on this board knows the true condition of either your car or the cluster, here is the only thing I can think of to do:

- try the cluster in someone else's car

- if it works then, then there is something wrong w/ your car - i.e. speed sensor or some other electrical issue

- if it has the same problem, there you go.

If you swapped it whole - i.e. cluster + correct tach + cluster sub harness that goes from cluster -> main dash harness, there isn't much that can go wrong.

I think that there is a prossesor that interprets the hud unit I dont have acess to my alldata at this time so I cant be sure.

If the cluster is from a dohc and you have a sohc it won't work properly.I think you can put a resistor in-line or something to fix it being off but search for specifics.
