Car has 8500 miles. Just noticed the light today? Is this a warning light? Check engine light? Service maintenance light?

Thanks in advance.

This is the most annoyling light ever - i have an '07 with a lot more miles than you but the light consistantly comes on and off on and off.. I check my tire pressure on a regular basis and make sure they are all even - doesnt matter. I have learned to live with it but at the same time get annoyed everytime I look at the dash. Next time I take it in for service I will mention but I've heard horror stories about the dealers f'in up the sensors on the tire mount.... Let me know what you find out, I'd love to get rid of that sucker. GL!

I've only seen this warning for a week. I had a nail in my tire and i was loosing the pressure. I took it to the tire place and they fixed it for me since that I havent seen that sign. If you seen that light that frequently without loosing the pressure and the pressure is correct than you have a problem. Take it back to the dealer to get it fixed. What's your tire pressure LV?

I assume the tire pressure sensors in the wheels are battery powered. How long do the batteries last and can they changed, or is the whole sensor replace?

we had a cold spell after we got the first g and the psi dropped just below the level to trigger the light. I put a few pounds it.

It went off recently again, stopped by my wife's work and plugged one of her tires. Since I was going to replace them, I didn't worry about having it patched.

Keep a good plug kit and compressor in your trunk. Especially on trips.

The battery is recharged as the wheel moves. It will probably outlast the car

The tire pressure warning light will come on if the pressure in any of the four tires is below 35lbs. Get yourself a good quality dial type tire pressure gauge & put 35lbs in all four tires when cold. It may take a few hours or a day for the light to go out. If it doesn't take it back to the dealer & they will replace the defective sensor under the warranty. They'll even wash & vacuum the car for you.

I thought it was a 4 psi variance. Mine usually does not come on until I hit 30 psi and when I put air in the tires it goes out about a minute or two after I drive on it. It has never taken a few hours to go off after refilling??

If your light is on all the time then either 1) you have a bad sensor or 2) you keep your usual psi level too close to the warning level that makes the light come on. Try putting more air in your tires.

Remember that the proper way to measure the tire pressure is when the tires are cold.

A Federal law that might actually save some lives as so many accidents are caused by low tire pressure and owners failing to adjust every week.

I like the low pressure warning.

The only time mine has come on is at the drag strip when I let the pressure down to 22-26 lb for traction. Once you add air you have to drive for a little while before the light will turn off.

I check my car out once or twice a month and add air as needed. A dial gauge is the best. I have a $40 one I bought that is dead accurate. Don't waste your money on the gauges that have a stick that comes out the bottom. If the gauge is less then $10 its not accurate.

I thought it was something worse like Gwoods car.. Low oil or some shlt.

Time to buy a compressor for the car on egay.

No light came on for that it was just plain ol dipstick checking.....

You guys have harbor freight out there in LA thats your best bet. I bought a little floor compressor from them 3 years ago for $150. Looks like they are having a sale. They still have it at the same price.

Its enough to run an impact wrench and other small air tools.

Must have been something really big. Hope she's all right. Tell her to wear her seat belt.

Measure your tires cold, then write down how many psi each tire needs. When you go to the gas station, add what you need for each tire, or just get a compressor.

I don't know about Infinitys but on toyota and lexus, there is a reset button for the tire light that's underneath the driver side dash. The light is supposed to come on when the psi in any of the 5 tires (spare included) goes below the minimum set threshold. You can set that for what ever you want, all you have to do is put the amount of psi you want in all your tires and and take away %15. so if you set your psi at 40 your min threshold would be 34psi. That's how most TPM systems work. If you don't want the light to ever come on unless you really have low tire psi, just inflate all your tires to 10 psi and set the button, afterwards inflate your tires to whatever you desire like 35psi, now your TPM won't come on unless one of your tires hit 8.5 psi.

FYI

The TPM sensora operate with a lithium ion battery, and when they go out, u need to replace them.

To my knowledge, there isn't a button to do that with on the G35...It's factory set to a certain PSI only.

Mine was constantly on when I switched wheels -- e3ven with the sensor! I couldn't figure out how to turn it off...

Anyone know if there's a fuse you can pull for the light?
