I'm doing my headgasket, and I have taken out all 10 head studs, and I'm gonna leave the intake mani on and just take it off with the head. I have the all the brackets off the intake manifold holding it on. The head will tilt side to side quite a bit, but if you go to life it straight up it wont even budge. Any little hidden stuff I may have missed? I know this is extremely vauge but I have some time to kill so I figured I'd ask you guys who may have been through it before. Head is very loose and will tilt like crazy if you lift it up by the intake mani, but if you try and life the whole thing straight up it wont move.

Aren't there some hardlines attached to the back of the head? Timing belt?

Fuel lines, there are a few hard lines from the intake that connect to the block via rubber hoses, and maybe odds and ends for vacuum lines. But i bet it would be the rubber hoses under the intake.

Its a real pain in the *** to do with the motor in the car..

The two fellas above me have hit the nail on the head..

There is the water hardline running behind attatched with 10mm bolts...

Two fuel lines should be easy to see..

The pcv hose that will run from the rear of the inlet cam cover to a hard line bend shoould be a pressure clamp, but depending on whos' owned it it may be a ring clamp....

There may also be an earth cable to remove, and a possibility of one or two small coolant hoses round the front of the motor...
