just called a Liberty Mutual rep and he said you can insure it full coverage but there are certain requirments it must meet. of course you will have to get it approved by the underwritting dept. first . so if you want to do it just call them up and say you want to insure it full coverage and need a underwritting approval. if they do approve it they will require that you get it inspected by any mechanic and have him write a letter saying its road worthy and will not fall apart. hope that helps

If they give it to you, bring up the fact that you would have much prefered to have that for when they broke your window in the other day...It looks pretty bad of them to have cost you money because they didnt have there policies right...If they are a smart buissness they should want to do something to make that right again.

Conti, You're lucky nothing got stolen man. Nothing inside is damaged or anything right? The big guy's watching out for you! I'd send a couple dollars your way this instant, but I havent even gotten my door fixed from when those jack asses went at it with a crowbar to steal my head unit. I'll ship ya a couple dollars of my lunch money when I get it.

One thing I know about life, when you give your last without expecting return, it will come back when you need it most.hopefully someone will answer to my threads in 240 & Gen chat

well at least they didnt steal it, I try to look at the "could be worse" in those horrible situations

Sorry for the loss

I had the same thing happen to my Honda, at night, while I was in class. They ripped out the stereo (broke it while taking it, but still took it.. lol). The window cost me a day off work and $140

If I knew someone was desperate enough for my generic $40 CD player I would have just given it to them and saved myself the extra $100 window expense and day off of work.

Too bad paypal sucks and wants so much for each transaction. Ill bet a $1 from each member who posted to this thread would help a bunch.

happened to me in NYC (pass side) but I sourced a salvage yard replacement in south jersey for $50. & thank goodness it was relatively easy to replace...

---------------------

sis's windshield was bashed in by a drunk teenager; luckily the cops caught him in the act of bashing another car & is now facing charges...

her copay was $500!!!! WTF!!! but replacement costs was under that, so no help from comprehensive insurance... she lost 2 days work as well... can't drive it (@ least w/ a side window broken, i still drive the heck outta nyc to south jersey)

I was ready to go to bed....."I'll read just one more post", I say.

Now here I am, 5:30 in the morning, still reading to see if the window is all good.... All the glass out...

Just kidding, except for the still being awake part.....

Dammit! Now I can't get to sleep!
