lol because even retards can build a great engine and hold the wheel straight while they bang through gears right? its so simple right?
i agree with bob on this one, do you have any idea how much ingenuity goes into a high horsepower build to compete? or the focus it takes to hit that light and make NO mistakes to shave even a 100th or a sec. of a time?
seriously dude, the whole "im so elite cuz i know what drifting is" doesnt matter anymore...it was cool in the late 90's...early 00's now its so commonplace, no one cares.
i remember when everyone said "it takes skill and talent to drift, it takes money to drag" thats s***, its either/or...its interchangeable...thats what fanboys say to eachother when they argue about engine/model specs in jdm land.

and im out!

:monkey: <== p.s. i like the monkey gif :chuckle:

Drag racers usually spend money to go straight and get sideways at the same time.

Turbo Magazine did a 750hp KA build about 2 years ago. This should give you an idea. Here's part one of their build, but I think their website has all of it online if you search their Tech Section under Nissan.

Ive kinda given up on drift at this point, while its still fun to do, its not a sport for privateers anymore. Back in my day.. 2004-06 a person could still run what they brung in the national tours and be competitive. at this point if you aren't a big name with a bigger sponsor, you have no chance. That and the courses they run now basicalyl force car contact to please the crowd. When you got manufacturer bankroll that's not an issue but eh... Joe Smith from Aurora Co cant afford to keep buying body panels and motor swaps after some big Mopar Viper pushes him into a wall in the 2nd run....

^^^ :wtf2: I suppose that's one way to look at it if you're trying to go PRO. You know what they say: Gotta pay to play. But theres waaaay more grassroots drifting venues and PRO-AM series around now to keep drifting fun than there were 6 years ago...
