A large easy-out covered with grease should do the trick.

Go to your local autoparts or tool store and explain to them what happened, they should be able to help select an easy out bit in a size that will work.

Easy out tool looks something like that, you wont need to drill because you should already have a hole in the middle of the adapter you have stuck into your threads.

I recommend this because from what I gather you have busted the hex-head off of the adapter. DONT FORGET TO COVER THE BIT WITH GREASE! And for future reference, these compression adapters dont need to be tighter than finger tight, they should have an o-ring to help the seal, and even if not, the threads arent going to let a whole lot of compression past and skew your results. Remember, lefty-loosy righty-tighty.

I grinded down a deep socket piece so I would have enough room to actually fit around the broken piece. I removed it in a second afterwards.

On another note, Easy Out is da chit!

i wouldnt recomend using an easy out bit or extractor bit cause you will end up having metal shavings go into your cylinders and scratch your cylinder walls and then your piston rings wont have a proper seal.

Hense using grease or vaseline.
