. Test number three, FAILED!!! Same results, numbers were bit better but still failed. I was wondering how the hell I can change my cat and the crap gets worse? My real question is, Does anyone know or can find out, what the vaccum reading is before the bpt valve when your going 1500 and 2500 rpm? I'm getting close to nothing. I know the egr valve opens at 2 hgs of pressure. That may be my prob., not enough press. If anyone can help that would be great. This sh#t is pissin me off.

Damn test these things suck. I just did my e-test for the third time and failed. The first time, I failed for nox, (the 25mph test) by 700 points. OK, I changed my 12 year old cat and tested the egr valve. Egr test good. Second test and FAILED big time for nox. Both 15mph and 25mph test failed this time by a thousand points. Trouble shot my egr system. Chked bpt, changed egr soleniod, cleaned contacts on harness and changed vacc lines. Hell I fixed my idle problem while doing all this . Test number three, FAILED!!! This sh#t is pissin me off.yeh mine failed twice, do oyu got performance exhaust, b/c mine failed jus b/c there is a certain way you have to take it b/c the new exhaust makes it read funny. My 1st and 2nd reading were completly different so i know it had to be somein w/ the machine. so 3rd time i go the guy sees my exhaust and they never even put the car in gear jus reved it at 3,000 rpm for about 2min and it passed w/ flyin colors. so that all i cant tell you if you exhast but if not get some of that emissions formula you pour into your gas tank. Most say guarentee to pass your car.

I know with the older cars (68-84) we use to rev the piss out of the them for about 5 minutes before giving the inspector the keys something about blowing the crap out of the cat and exhaust. It worked everytime. I am not to sure about the import cars but give it a shot. Im not a mechanic but this is something my brother told me and has worked for some of my other cars I have owned.
