Doesnt click, doesnt crank, it just does nothing. My lights are working properly so i dont know if its a battery problem. When i turn the key the engine does nothing. Only the lights on the dash comes on and thats it.

got a 5 speed? if so pop start it to get home and then take starter out and put power from a battery directly to it .If the drive gear extends fully it is probably good. If not then you need a starter.

if a light on your dash comes on but there is no sound of clicking you can rule out battery.

check your terminals for good connection, then check the other ends to make sure they arent broken or messed up. check your ign. relay and fuses.

if you can, tap the starter a few times and try to start again.

Stupid point, but did you press your clutch IN b4 starting?

IF you have a 5 speed

ALSO do you have a kill switch?

^^ I'm with gripstr

check clutch pedel. This happened to me, and all it was, was the clutch pedal tab wouldn't push the clutch button.

Freaking 2 hours wasted on checking electrical/starter problems.

mine did that a few times.Just had a dead spot in the starter. It's easy to take out starter.Do what i said by a bench test a few times to rule out the starter as the cause.

Do you think it would be better to just buy a new starter? I am willing to spend my money on it because i just got payed and all that money is going towards my car. I want to make sure that he car is running good. Let me know if its okay to purchase a starter. I just got the engine rebuilt so i am willing to spend whatever i need to spend to have the car running perfect.

Thanks

you could spend money on the starter and find out thats not the issue, but with the core charge starters are cheap and you can always return it.

if you can afford it. i would pull it and go to any parts store that can bench test it.If you get a new starter then make sure you get the better one with a lifetime warranty. The starter i replaced not too long after i got my car acted up about 2 years ago.I thought it might have been the nuetral safety switch for my clutch at first.I pulled my starter first anyway and took it into a.z. and they tried saying it was still good but it sounded like crap.I made them warranty it and i haven't had a problem since.

Man! You've had nothing but problems with this car/engine. I hope you get all of the "bugs" worked out soon. Good luck!
