I have a CA 5spd transmission sitting on my porch. I ended up not needing it when I thought mine was broken. Email me at chris AT escic.com if you're interested in it.

An S12 bellhousing will work, but the shifter will be too far forward in the hole in the chassis.

I have a Ka 5spd transmission if you still need a transmission.

hey float,

how far forward does the shifter sit with the s12 bell housing compaired to the ca bell housing .......it gives me a good idea for my ca+ae86 swap since my shifter it further back.........

as for the transmission goes KA and SR trannies work but u need the s13 CA18det bell housing......

I'm not exactly how far forward it sits. I haven't actually done this myself, but other board members have stated that this can happen. I was under the impression that it is enough that the opening for the shifter has to be slightly enlarged, but not by much.

I paid 900.00 for everything to do the swap, motor, ecu, harness, maf, smic and piping, and the motor has about 65,000 kilometers on it so roughly 49k miles, and its an auto so it hasnt been beat on much,im gonna do a little experimenting with a ka transmission ive heard it might work so between ca20 bellhousing and ka transmission or maybe an sr bellhousing and a ka transmission ill figure it out,id like to just find a ca18 5spd transmission and be done with it

SR, CA, and KA trannies are the same. It is only the motor and thusly the bell housings that differ. The only bell housing that will fit is the ca18det manaul bell housing.
