I just got the 300ZX TT fuel filter... and i'm looking at it and looking at my 240sx filter and i'm saying WTF how do the other guys hook them up??

my problem where i'm lost is.... the 240sx filter was two top hoses that go to it.... on the 300zx filter it only has 1 hose port for going to it...

mmmmm so yeah WTF how do you guys hook the 2 fuel lines up to the top..

umm i have no clue what you are talking about. They filter from top to bottom or bottom to top. There is a nipple on both sides of the fiter. One hose goes to top, one to bottom. It should be just like the 240 one, only larger.

^there is a pic.

Not sure what you're talking about, but that's how the 300ZX fuel filter should look like.

ummm wow. Prepare to be .

If you don't have 5 minutes to do searches, or use common sense, then how can you expect us to respond, taking up our time to answer your stupid question? And umm, you are NOT going to swap in a ca18det engine if you cannot figure out how to hook up a fuel filter. What setup? What housing? It just clips into a flexible C-shaped thing on your unibody. Im confused.

hmm.... wouldn't searching take LESS time? I mean, people do respond fairly quickly on these forums, but the fastest I have seen outside of the general forum is about 3-5 minutes. Searching for something like this would have taken a minute.

Well, to be fair, everyone has to start somewhere. You learn by doing.

That said, I guess there are a few steps between fuel filter and engine swap.

Personally, I don't mind answering stupid questions.

yeah.. I was going to say, it's going to be fun building a ka-t, or swap a ca18 when he can't figure out a fuel filter... you need to buy a FSM, or something, and don't post every single little question you can think of that's completely pointless and can be found by searching, or looking in a pretty little book with a picture of your car on it. lol.

I see no problem with his question. Sometimes simple questions require simple answers.

If you feel your time is too valuable to help guys who are doing their best to improve their cars, then you shouldnt be on a public board.

Thank you.

Exactly, the jackasses need to turn it down. This forum is not only for super technical ka questions, but all the basics. People range very different on knowledge and we can see that, from down to intake install questions all the way up building Hybrid KAs. If you dont have anything good, useful or nice to say, dont waste your time and others posting it.

I think the moral of the story, and explination for harshness starts right here in this post of self proclaimed lazyness. A point was made finding the info would have been much faster then waiting for someone to respond. I think the high expectations of a quick response has gotten to be more of a demand of newer members. The topic of this thread was regarding something that has been posted on these boards likely over 1000 times. This adds to that cluter making it more difficult to find info regarding the subject. I can somewhat understand the need to flame him, but on the other hand this sends out a messege that the members of this board are a bunch off A holes. Is that the reputation you all desire to have?

Could you imagine the reprocussions. Some on another popular board, say the name of the board was something like ...oh I dont know "www.stale aluminum.dum" Says "Yea man I was over on NICO trying to find some info on 300zx fuel filters and I found this thread where this guy asked a real basic question and he got his head ripped off by a bunch of jerks over there. So I decided to come over here to SA.D to get my info"

Yea thats the right direction to go right??? Come on guys lets learn to use the search feature for finding the simple stuff and reply to the basic questions with a search link stating you found the info as part of the search. Does that sound all that unreasonable guys?

answering the "stupid" question is not a problem.. but having him rush people and saying he doesn't have time is pretty ignorant of him

No argument there. But there is no one person to point the finger at in this thread. Both sides have issues that should be looked at. If you read my post I made it obvious both were at fault.
