Been getting an inconsistent misfire on coilpack #2. I replaced the plug from #2 with a different one. Soldered and shrink wrapped it. It was good for a while, now it's acting up again. Still the same cylinder. I just swapped#1 and #2 thinking maybe its the coilpack but still no luck.

Pinpoint your problem so you don't waste money on parts you don't need. Whne you say upper harness, are you referring to the coil pack harness?

yes the coilpack harness. Well for sure it's not a coilpack because i swapped them out and #2 still has occasional misses. Sometimes it will sit at idle and you'll hear it start missing and then it will go back to normal all by itself.

Any ideas on what else to check?

Go to your local Nissan dealer and see if they can get you one for a Pulsar. They should be the same. 88 Pulsar SE

You could always scour the junk yards for one or do the GM coil pack conversion.
