I have one that has a tiny hole in it. I have a picture I think. I can remove the rust for you if you want...

Are you rebuilding the trans? Please post pics and tips or email them to me or something as I need all the help I can get,

Dude are you serious? I appreciate the reply. I do. But we are in the same boat. My pan is rusted and it's leaking from a pin size hole. Not enough to notice any fluid volume change, but any leak is too much for me. Our trannies at the age they are don't need any leaks. Its hard enough just trying to keep it in one piece. Options seem to be a $2000 rebuild or a stressful swap to z32 manual. Thanks for getting at me though.

The pan is $30 and the gasket is $30 FROM THE LOCAL DEALER. The cheapest you can get it for is $23.57 for the pan and $23.33 for the gasket.

Trust me don't end up needing a transmission soon like me. Replace this ASAP and don't drive it till then.

Or get some JB weld and use that stuff. Is that $2000 installed or just for the transmission? If that's just the transmission then open your eyes and get a OEM rebuilt one from the dealer.

What? Less than $2000 for a remaned at the dealer? Unheard of! Is this nationwide infiniti dealers or just the one where you from? And the pan for only $30 is cheaper than I thought too. And from the dealer no doubt. Are these special club prices or something?
