Just thought I'd mention that you may want to consider posting in the classifieds section of the forum, because chances are a moderator will move your threads if placed in an inappropriate section.

Now regarding the Tether Anchor Assembly, I have one which is pictured here:

Sorry about the low quality pics. I don't have the camera here and had to use an old cell phone.

I had to buy one for my car, because I imported my car from the US and that is part of the Federal regulations that was applicable to bring my US car to Canadian standards. I did not have to install it. I only have to have it in the glove box.

I bought mine in Canada, but they are also sold in the US.

The company that makes mine is Safety 1st. Product number RCSN-87Website: http://www.safety1st.com

Distributor Info:Dorel Juvenile Group, Inc. 255 State Street, Columbus, IN 47201-7494

Telephone: 1-800-544-1108

You can call the distributor and they should be able tell you where you can buy one.

You have to have that in the car? Even if you don't have a child seat?

You have to have it at the time of the Federal Inspection, otherwise they will not give you a Pass on the form.

Wow. That's crazy. But you only need to get inspected once right?

I was talking to my uncle in Montreal and he was surprised that in NJ we have bi-annual inspections and yearly registrations. He says he just pays for his plate and there's some sort of tax/fee paid every year. No inspections.

It's been a couple years since we talked about it, I may have gotten some facts mixed up.
