Hi,

I'm looking for the VPC MAF part # "Denso 949940-6110."

Does anyone have one?

Also, if someone has an old CAS lying around that they want to sell, I'm interested.

Darian

If you mean the pressure sensor, HKS used the same one on everything, not just the VPC.

So just to confirm, if I go on eBay, any one will work?

Thanks,

Darian

My VPC was running off a junkyard Denso sensor I salvaged from an F-CON. New stuff uses a different type of sensor.

This is the lil bugger.

Thanks, I really appreciate it. The HKS webpage didn't have it, so I just ordered one of these:

Thanks again,

IIRC, those VPC's are vehicle specific. There is a chip in there that is setup for that car. I could be wrong though.

Dohhh, ehhhh yeah I need to do more research yikes. That would suck buy it and then oh guess what can't use it!
I always thought the unit itself was universal, you just had to have a harness specific to your vehicle, but yes I will def look into unless anyone can confirm this is the case???

Gahhh so apparently they have vehicle specific "Rom" chips? I am not chip savvy so I have no idea if you can reprogram this to use on a CA(or much less if there is even a way to get one)? Gah TMS Please help! Apparently HKS sells the harness for 4202-RN019 NISSAN 180SX , (RS13) 03/89-12/90 ; CA18DET CA18DET $280.00 (it's for the Fcon) But pretty sure it could be adapted to work with the VPC. Anyone who is running this setup or if anyone knows anyone running the setup please speak up lol!!!! cough TMS :mike

There were like 4 different chips for specific setups. I would not recommend trying to use one. When it was cutting edge, it was the s***, but that was close to ten years ago. With the advent of cost effective user friendly standalones, to bend over backwards to cobble together a complete VPC in this day and age is a bit retarded. If you just had one laying around, sure, but to track down all the parts piece by piece, no.

Damn it! I didn't read the ad close enough and that's only the temp sensor, which is really easy to find. Trying to find a pressure sensor, that's been hard.

Does anyone have one?

Thanks,

Darian

Would this one work? I looks different than what I have.

I saw that and hoped that was what you wanted. If you already ordered it I might be willing to trade you for one of my spare pressure sensors for the temp. I have a couple of PSes, but no extra TSes.

Maybe your spam filter doesn't like my gmail account. Anyways, I'd be interested in the trade you mentioned. If you're still willing to this let me know.

I tried sending you the email again and from another address.

Thanks,

Darian

I have a complete CA18 VPC if anybody is interested. Since I got a complete Megasquirt setup I won't be using it.

Now it's seems that my spam filter is the problem. Could you please try to send it from a different email address? I never got it.
