I know the classifieds section is there for a reason but through all the searching ive done, I cant find anything. Im looking to see if we can start a thread for rare items (ie cams, spifire coils, flywheels, fuel rails, intakes) and stuff that you wont regularily see in the 'average' ca swap.

I myself am looking for a Toda flywheel and a nice fuel rail. Also, if anyone can locate a FWD intake for me id be more than willing to pay a good price for it =D

Splitfire coils are not made for the CA. RB coils look like they would drop on but if my FSM for the R32 and S13 are right the pins are arranged differently. FET used to make CA coils but I don't think they are available anymore. I had a cooked set I gave away

Jun and Tomei still make cams, Trust and HKS can still be found from time to time used. I just picked up a 264 8.8 HKS intake cam a couple of weeks ago from the UpGarage bargain bin.

I know Toda still makes a flywheel and I think Jun may still as well, they used to. O.S. Giken as far as I know still makes the b-type twin plate clutch. I have two of these and they are the sechs.

Ikeya formula used to make a sequential shifter and probably still does. RB20 and SR20 short shifters will work.

HKS made a VPC for the CA, I have two, all VPCs are discontinued.

Every aftermarket intake I have seen on a CA was a one-off built by a shop except for possibly the Garage Pady one which I think they sell.

HKS used to make a cast iron top-mount manifold which was thick as a brick, that's why I have two and will snap up any other I encounter. Trust made a bottom-mount stainless one with that ghey triangular flange which I still see every now and then for chump change. We of course get that XS power/SSAC psudostainless **** here as well.

Nightpager and possibly TBO used to make ghettogates or "screamer pipes" for the CA, don't know if they still do.

The market is definately relegating the CA to obscurity. I can still find more L and FJ parts new than I can CA. Good luck gents, stock up cause the end is near.

They never listed them. I'm happy to be wrong though. Did you swap them in? If so did you notice a difference?

I bought them used from Japan about 2 or 3 years ago, I noticed a crisper throttle right away, felt much more responsive, haven't ran more than 16psi with a T28R so can't comment on high boost, I've got my engine out for a stroker kit rebuild and should see how they go with a 20g kit and some boost. If you've ever tried an MSD Dis HO, the results were very similar on first impressions, I'm gonna add my MSD along with the splitfires and see what thats like.

So they DO make a specific CA kit. Very good to know. How much did you pay for these when new and do you think theyre still available?

Can you tell me the pin sequence from left to right? I would like to check it against my RB coils because they look the same.

What do you mean "pin sequence"? I have a set right here that I just picked up from wdfjr.

Wait....(edit post)

ok..

main harness plug with clip side up

blue --- black w/blue stripe --- redwhite --- black w/white stripe --- white

first plug coil from main harness clip side upblack w/blue stripe --- blue --- black

second plug coil from main harness clip side upred --- blue --- black

third plug coil from main harness clip side upblack w/ white stripe --- blue --- black

fourth plug coil from main harness clip side upwhite --- blue --- black

the coils say "SF-DIS-001" "Starflag" on them, number stamped on the black metal surround is "253"

AFAIK the CA kits are discontinued but I hear the RB units are the same.

Are'nt there little letters cast into the coil itself above where the thing plugs into the harness?

I was just looking at this and said "wtf"?http://www.thor-racing.co.uk/S...1.asp

quoteEliminates RFI (radio frequency interference) by eliminating the need for a wire set

Saywha? The only RB that has plug wires is the SOHC and these are'nt for that. Cmon man

Yes the specific kit uses the sp-dis-001 coils which are the same as some of the rb sets. the sub harness can only be used with the splitfires as the plugs are obviously different to standard ca coils.

I read a thread on SXOC a while back saying to just get RB ones. I didn't think there was ever a CA specific kit.

I am in fact running a RB20 coil on #3 right now...

Maybe we could do a group buy where 2 sets of RB coils are purchased, and 3 people get 4 coilpacks a piece. Just testing the waters to see if anybody would be interested?

I thought the same thing. I have a set of splitfire RB coils and thought buy two sets of RB coils and repackage them into three sets for the CA.

I have another 4 port euro head with lower intake manifold and fuel rail. A fellow Nico member had to have it money ready to go and whatever. I paid for it and the NIco Member never got back. Said he was building some race motor BLAH BLAH BLAH kept bugging me about it and then never owned up. Anyways it is 350 shipped will accept any trades too (cams, coils, intercooler whatever you got).

What the hell, are growing these from seeds or something? Do you want an 8-port and the same bits?

HA HA I wish it would be easier than driving all over the place to get them but I get requests for them so I go and do all the leg work to get them. I usually have to jump on them as soon as I find them so I have to front my own cash. Considering the requests are coming from NICO members I go ahead and pay. This one as I stated came from a guy who replied to my emails constantly and always wrote asking me for a price. So once I got him the final price he bailed and now I am stuck with another head that I don't need.

I went to buy a 4 port euro head and stumbled across a JDM 8 port head with the intake mani so just for kicks I bought that too. So I won't be needing another JDM head as I doubt my 200sx has all the right connections to make all the butterfly stuff work.

I am open to anything else you might have though

Sorry the other dude bailed on you man! That sucks. I'll start the write up once I get yours in the mail and I get my hands on another 8 port head.

yeah it sucks but I can't do anything about it. I just have to hope somebody else wants one.

I do however like this idea of "one" thread for selling our CA parts. Makes things a lot easier. This should be a sticky or whatever to keep things neat around the CA arena here.

It's all vacuum hose and diaphram on the manifold itself, no eletrical components at all. If you grabbed the whole intake you are good to go. I really don't think I have anything you can use. I would send you the headlights but they need the bulb holders so until I can scavenge some to complete them I was holding off. As far as I am concerned they is yours. As soon as I get the little bits to make them whole I'll shoot them over to you with the centerpeice and corners.

You ROCK man!! Yeah take your time with that stuff. I still have to source the rest of the components for the front end. I am up for anything in trade if anybody has anything. Audio video stuff for the cars, gauges, WHATEVER. I just don't need this thing and would like something that I might be able to use for the time that this guy wasted.

Hey, I've got a cracked set of silvia headlights that has all of the retainter rings, sub harness, rubber seals, etc.

When I smacked up the silvia conversion on my car, I had to buy 2 new headlights so I've got these setting around.

I'd give them to you. You just pay shipping.
