WTB FUSE BOX, mine went to hell .. literally

Something went wrong with the electrical system around my fuse box while I was heading back home today and it caused a small fire in my engine bay. I noticed fast enough and was able put it out before it could reach the battery or the fuel lines.

Only things heavily damaged were the fuse box and the coolant reservoir. Harness seems in good shape except for the (+) battery link and the cable feeding my Electric Fans.

Now I need a complete fuse box + the bits in it. Hopefully one of you might have a CA18DET one laying around. Dunno if I could use one from a 240sx, and if so how difficult it would be to match things up.

Will post pictures later.

I have the one from the '90 Silvia my CA18DET came out of, but the wiring going in/out the box is cut pretty short. (importer threw it in with the motor set for some reason, haha)

I dunno if the 200's fuse box is any different due to the flip-up lights, hmm. Anyone know?

Not really. Was having electrical issues as to voltage dropping gradually once the car was on, lets say from 13.5v to 12.4v in 40 minutes.

And the battery went dead overnight with just the alarm lead blinker. Got it recharged and now this happens.

Should have looked further into the ill symptoms.

I guess the Alternator fuse went berserk on me.

PS u sure your battery didnt explode? maybe it popped up and hit the hood and exploded? cant tell if it is strapped down or not.

I will get pics this week after I haul them out of the garage basement. It is a crap load of wires though.

Haha, yeah it looks like that, but the battery is intact. The white dust (actually yellow) is from the dust type fire extinguisher that was available (not mine).

Im still cleaning the salty mess it left.

Btw ragenasian, don't really need the entire harness. Fire only got the fuse box and up without any noticeable damage to the cables. Tho I still need the entire fuse box.

I just got in from cleaning out the last parts of my garage, I am looking at a nearly complete (read: headlights to brake lights) harness from an 89 240 hatch that was cut into several pieces for ease of removal and reuse; I would be totally willing to remove from it whatever you need that I still have. I know the fuse boxes and most of the under hood stuff is in pretty great condition, may have been messed with some for an sr20 swap, but its something. I will give you what ever you need for 30 shipped. I can take pics of it if you want.
