Alright, I was cleaning up my timing cover and redoing my valve covers yesterday, loosened up my WPP(to take off the timing cover) and a couple friends were throwing a football and I wemt to join them and then got distracted and forgot to tighten it back up. Drove off, and my SAFC kept reading lower and lower battery voltage. Read belt fell off.

Well long story short, car died, I had to push it to safety, and I got it all put back together, and drove off, it was fine. Then all of a sudden, it went from 13+ volts back down to 11 and dying. Got home, checked the belt and it was still on. So I guess the alternator just coincedentally died....

SO I guess I need a CA alternator......boost boy can you help me out?

There isn't a USDM equivalent alternator that will work without modification. It is very easy and cost effective to simply have your alternator rebuilt. Look in the phone book for a generator or electric motor repair shop.

I got one for you if you need it. Just let me know or better yet, let Ryan know via the forum and Ryan can call me and let me know, so that I can have it packaged and shipped. If you forgot my paypal information, it's the same as my email address $60 shipped is an appropriate price, but be sure and exhaust all your other methods first.

Well all the repair shops want alot more than 60 bucks for one. Dont have paypal to send you, but Float if you can go ahead and contact him for me, thatd be great.

Any particulars that need to be figured out, can be emailed to me at tcbrandt@bellsouthdotnet

Although I've never tried it myself, another member said a SOHC KA alt could be made to work but the bracket was different or something didn't line up quite right. He made it sound like it wasn't a bolt on affair.

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just working off of what information has been provided to me via other members experiences.

I called him and he said that would be fine. Just send the money order/money gram to where you've sent the money before. He said he'd try and get his girl to send it out tomorrow or the next day.
