one of my friends told me that you can buy a sr20det engine either blown or in unheathy status for like $450 does anybody know who sells these motors?

thanks for the info but what is the pricing like and how do i know that there isnt a hole in the block? any ideas?

Marco Vargas has been in the SR20 buisness for a long time (way longer than SR's have been popular). Check out his car that made the front cover of sport compact car in the may 02 issue. I would trust his buisness over 99.5% of the ****ty engine importers out there. You have to call or email him for prices and info.

Ive got a block on the way out. threw a rod, so boutght a new block and had it built from the ground up. Let me know.

not sure i want a block with a hole in the side but thanks more or less looking for one with fried rings head gasket blown low compression ya know **** like that

I'VE Got one that has timing chain issues, but starts, runs, revs, makes a lot of noise, smokes a little oil, and i'm moving out of state.... i'm in orlando, fl.... since it only needs a new tensioner, or timing chain job, i'm still trying to get a decent price, but if you want something that's not too far gone, let me know, we could work something out....

it has only ~44000 km on it, but when i asked the company about longblocks for sale, they offered it to me at a discounted price, and i haven't had a chance to rebuild/diagnose yet, and now i'm moving.... i can't afford to ship this paperweight around anymore, so really this may work out for both of us....
