444/450s aren't gonna cut it for a 2871R. You need at least 550s.

Could you? Yes... Would it be the best, probably not. Why not just sell the SAFC and get your ECU socketed for $50 and throw a chip in it?

***Back on topic, I might be able to get you a set of DSM 450s.

c-Rad you are like 40 minutes from me. Q; once you get your ECU socketed, and you put a chip in it, then only the owner with a laptop with the software can tune it right? The SAFC2 you can take to someone and let them tune it for you. A SAFC2 will indeed control 550 injectors.

Well, you have two options-

Option 1- Buy the Pocket Romulator from http://www.xtronics.com This will allow you to tune on the fly through the use of a laptop and download the Nissan Live Edit software which you can find on my site- http://ca18det.escic.com --When you are done and all your settings are finalized, you can save the file and then burn it to an eprom using a programmer such as the Willem (you can find em on ebay). Anyone can tune with a laptop and the software. I don't know any shops off the top of my head though that tune for the CA, but I am sure anyone who has any advanced tuning knowledge could get you a pretty nice tune (ie: XAT racing in Tampa, Central Florida Turbo, or even John Estrada http://www.jestrtuning.com).

Option 2- Buy an eprom programmer and go to my site listed above and get one of the pre-modded files. These are basic edits that just account for fuel and maf changes with no changes to the timing as far as I know. Just burn them to the chip and plug em in and you should be good to go. The Live Edit software will let you make your own changes as well, for example if you were running 550s, but were still on the stock MAF for the time being, then you could modify the stock CA file for just that. Once you get the program and you mess with the screens a little bit, it's pretty easy to navigate.

No, you NEED a laptop. Even if its just a PII 266MHz or something, it'll work.

i also have a set (4) of 550cc high impedence injectors from an rx-7. I had them fully balanced, flow tested and cleaned before i used them. I used them for 1200 miles but they are overkill for my next setup. 200.00 +shipping if either of you want them.
