Hi , does anyone know where I can find a clutch slave cylinder for my 1964 Datsun L320 Pickup ?.
It is a 3/4 bore and the mounting holes are 2 3/8 inches apart so I think it's an early '64 ?.

Thank You. Ludwig

Hey Ludwig. Sounds like the 520 slave doesn't fit?
I just pulled down the 521 slave from my closet and it looks like the mounting holes are 2" on center.
Is your transmission a column shift or floor shift?
Maybe yours can be rebuilt using the parts from the new 520 slave, since they are both 3/4".
I found the Nissan part # for a rebuild kit. It probably isn't still available, but it's worth a try. Looks like it crossed to the roadster so it may still be available. 30620-08027

All my clutch masters are 5/8 bore on my 3 Datsun 320s(62/63/64), all my stock brake masters are 3/4, all my mounting holes on both types are closer to 2 1/4 inches apart center to center.
Them are the same sizes/measurements as the 521 clutch masters, you should be able to use the 521 clutch master, although you likely will have to use the rod on the old master on the new master.
In the photo below the top master is a brake master(3/4), it was removed from my 1962 Datsun U320.
The second master(middle) is marked as coming off my 1962 U320, it is a 5/8 bore, it's obviously a replacement, although the rod looks new, so when I changed it out I used the original rod on the new master.
The bottom clutch master is also a 5/8 bore for the 521, the rods might not be the same length but are interchangeable, the mount holes are all the same distance apart.

These folks can rebuild just about any slave cylinder or brake cylinder there is. I have used them for years for various restorations. http://www.whitepost.com/

I've also heard good things about Whitepost Restorations.
Datsunparts has original slave cylinders for the 1500 roadster, which has the same Nissan part number listed for the 320. It isn't cheap ($160). http://www.datsunparts.com/1484

A slave cylinder from the smooth case 1500 Fairlady Roadster does work on the 320 column shift transmission. Watch eBay for this item as $160 is a little steep - wow. (just looked - only 1600 and 2000)

Ludwig - are you missing yours or does it just need to be rebuilt?
