if you buy them I'm sure you can find a way to make them fit, but its not always easy or inexpensive to be a pioneer.

Actually, I've heard of SR20 guys using WRX injectors, so I don't see why not. Those look really similar to the drop in 550 side feeds.

I agree. But looking similar doesn't mean they will. If you buy them and they don't you could always sell them again.

too late now but it would be interesting if someone were to try it, i think it might be injectors made for the older model wrx's like 1998 ones, i could be wrong new ones might be the same too.

As soon as remove my stockers I'll zip down to the Scooby dealer and see if the parts department will let me compare. Wouldn't that be a nice drop in injector....

After reading that it seems some subaru injectors do fit, but I'm not 100% sure which ones.

I thought only the newer subarus used the side feeds... cause I was reading about how the STI "switched" to side feeds, I thought...maybe I'm crazy

well it appears that the sidefeeds fit, but you also need the plugs, but apparently you can use those of a 2.2 l legacy

so this is what I understand

WRX yellowtop from 99+ seem to fit - 440ccJDM STi injectors from mid to late 90's fit -530ccUSDM STi injectors fit- 565cc

02-04 wrx injectors are different they wont fit, and jdm STI injectors dont fit. Only older imprezas and new usdm STI injectors work, so this is a pretty good alternative.

Plus, some of the WRX injectors have the "mod" that can be performed to them. Something along the lines of removing the injector tip, and it increases the flow to anywhere between 740cc-850cc...

I personally know a guy that did this, and his idle is rock solid. He had his flow tested to like 850cc. I don't know what all exactly is involved in modifying the injectors though, but I remember that it's REALLY simple..

If the WRX injectors dropped-in, this would be an ultimate setup. To have 850cc injectors for around 100-200 bucks...

These are from the older body jdm subarus with the ej20 motor, both the legacy and impreza. 540cc

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...=WDVW

You can also use the yellow top ones from new USDM STI injectors 565cc ( no pics but they look the same as the ones above but yellow).

from what I know these are the ones that are sidefeed that will work.

USDM WRX injectors (02-05) are blue top feed injectors (these are the ones everyone mods)

The 2.5RS' use sidefeed injectors, but if you get a '99 intake manifold (SOHC but no air assist) if you use '99 injector O-rings and the blue top feed injectors they fit fine with the RS stock fuel rails.

So you might be able to use the top feed blue WRX injectors with some kinda custom rail setup, spacers for the rail or the right O-ring combination.

I can't say for sure as I haven't looked that closely at 240sx rails lately. I have have an opportunity shortly considering I have friends with 240's and some spare USDM WRX injectors floating around in my spare parts bin.

I was going to use WRX injectors in my RS-T but decided to run some 550cc low impendence RC injectors instead. (by the time I need the 780cc injectors, I'll probably need even bigger for something even crazier)

if they're top feed isn't that what i KA-E would need? That'd be great if i could use it on my SOHC.=)

I was at the junkyard last weekend and was looking at an older WRX (before they had round headlights) somewhere in the middle to lower 90s I think, it was a non-turbo motor and the injectors looked very similar to mine but I can't find out the flow rate so I don't know if they are worth getting, anybody know?

its a 4 cylinder not turbo so they flow around the same as our injectors so its not worth it.

about 400-500 for the sti injectors. If you can get the wrx injectors to fit that would be a better route. I've seen some go for about 50 bucks in some cases. The flow rate of stock WRX injectors are 440 cc. However, you could mod them by grinding down the tip and make 740-840 ccs out of them. Or, you could re-drill the holes for it and get about 600 cc's. Maybe if I get bored one day, I'll try and fit the wrx injectors off my car into my friends KA-24E.
