First off, nice looking site great work. i'm a new owner of a 95 240. I went to the parts store with a large list of parts i needed for the tune up i wanted to do. For some reason he heard me say 95 neon instead of nissan. i swear i heard him repeat the words 240sx 2.4dohc when confirming what i just told him. Among the things i purchased was NGK iridium plugs, new plug wires, free k&n oil filter for buying royal purp oil and a new fuel filter. The plugs when inspected looked like the ones that came out, so i had no concerns at this point. I changed the oil replacing the filter with the new one. Next take the plug wires out for install and they were all wrong. Inspected fuel filter, wrong as well. This is when i go back to the store and tell them i was giving wrong parts, as well as the first time i was informed i was sold neon parts. (didn't look at the reciept once...) he exchanged the fuel filter but the plugs and oil filter has already been installed. I'm asking for some feedback on whether or not it would be an issue with running the oil filter and spark plugs. Remember the plugs were the same size as the ones that came out, and the oil filter went on just fine theading and all. I see no leaks. The second guy i delt with said that when pulling the right part numbers for the 240 they were different than the ones that were sold to me and installed. Thanks for any feedback.

Can't verify the cross-numbering for your fitment(s) and why they might fit. But if it were me, I'd definitely want the correctly labeled parts!

Take them off and get the proper parts.

no offense but you shouldnt be working on your car if "A" you trust what the parts store gives you and "B" you dont double check the actual part numbers of what you take out vs what you put in.

that being said alot of sparkplug numbers and oil filter numbers cross reference but make sure they are for your car....

^^ Rather elitist for a 240 forum... ^^

Everyone makes little mistakes, and honestly a 240 isn't a bad car to learn on.

I would just head back to o'riellys and get the right plugs and filter (as two of the other peeps have recommended).

That deal for 6 quarts of royal purple and a k&n filter for only $40 was too good to pass up. I picked that up for my Jeep last week when I was doing service on it.

Good luck.
