Wrong MAF

Heres the deal i did a dohc swap and my car wont start with a dohc maf but i wired it up so a sohc maf harness will fit. So i put the sohc maf on and starts right up. When i use the dohc maf it starts then dies out.I cant be the maf because it brand new. Anyone know what the problem could be. Please help me!!!

if you have a sohc maf that fits and works on a soch harness, why do you put the dohc on there?i need a harness, for a twin cam, didnt know a sohc would work.
