So I'm pretty sure I've got the 79L/21 gal fuel tank in the truck, but my fuel gauge seems to be giving me wrong readings. I've fueled up when the gauge reads almost empty but by the time its "full" its filled up about 60 liters/15.8 gallons.
It's been like this since I bought the truck about 2 years ago, so I'm wondering what's the problem here? :gapteeth:

Gas gauges are just that a gauge...not accurate, but a guesstimate. The voltage regulator for the gauge could be off or the hinged lever a bit bent, as long as it doesn't leave you stranded, it working

whats the fix for that?
My other vehicles have fuel guages that are waay more accurate than the one in the pathy.. unless the tank in the truck got swapped for a smaller one..

My '03 is the exact same way. When the gauge reads empty and the low fuel light comes on, I have 10 litres or so left in the tank.

It's something you get used to. Also, since the gas serves as a coolant/lubricant for the fuel pump, you shouldn't let your Pathy run near-empty on a regular basis anyways. (In fact, that may play a role in Nissan's decision to have the gauge read empty when there's still plenty of gas left.)

Ohh glad to hear that its normal then, but it was hard to used to when I first got it
