Write-Up: JDM S14 Power Folding Mirrors

This is a write-up on how to install power folding mirriors on a S14. I made this write-up in 30 diffferent parts and as clear as I could but if I made any mistakes or anything please let me know, thanks.

Part 01: Remove the screw that is circled below:

Part 02: Now just use a flathead screwdriver and pry it open.

Part 03: This is what it looks like once you have removed it:

Part 04: Remove the screw that is circled below:

Part 05: Now just pull it out.

Part 06: This is what it looks like once you have removed it:

Part 07: Remove the following 3 screws that are circled below:

Part 08: Now pull the door panel off.

Part 09: This is what it looks like once you have removed it:

Part 10: Now just use a flathead screwdriver and pry it open.

Part 11: Remove the following 3 screws that are circled below:

Part 12: Now disconnect the following:

Part 13: This is what it looks like once you have removed it:

Part 14: This is what it looks like once you have removed it:

Part 15: Remove the following 3 screws that are circled below:

Part 16: Now just use a flathead screwdriver and pry it open.

Part 17: Remove the screw that is circled below:

Part 18: Now remove the following 4 screws that are circled below:

Part 19: Remove the screw that is circled below:

Part 20: Now take a wire cutter and cut the following 3 wires:

Part 21: This is what it looks like once you have cut it:

Part 22: Now just pull on the wire until it comes out.

Part 23: This is what it looks like once you have removed it:

Part 24: Now just connect the following wires:

Part 25: This is what it looks like when you haved connected the wires:

Part 26: Now connect the following:

Part 27: The following is the JDM switch and adapter:

Part 28, Step 01: Connect the wires from the mirrors to this using the wiring diagram below:

Part 28, Step 02: The following is the wiring diagram:Purple/White to Purple/WhiteBlue/White to Blue/BlackBlack to BlackBlue/Red to Blue/RedYellow/Black to Yellow/RedOrange to Orange/SilverYellow/Green to Yellow/Green

WOW, that was the most thorough write up I have ever seen In my life. GOOD JOB. How much do these folding mirrors go for? Do they have them for s13s? Also what is the purpose of being able to fold your mirrors in? Sorry if the answer is obvious but I really don't have a clue.

I guess the purpose is that they're folded when its parked so dumbasses wont bump into it and it'll turn the way its not supposed to..(happened to me several times) or when you're parked out on a narrow street and scared it might be sideswiped..flip it close! (i've seen it happen...a 16wheeler tore a benz mirror off and i dont think the driver of the 16wheeler knew that..he just kept going)

Yes they do have these for S13s also. The purpose is the mirrors fold by the push of a button instead pushing it by hand when your parking in a tight area or something.

Not really, it looks harder then it really is. I just have very detailed pics but it only takes about 3 hours to finish it all if it's you first time or around 1-2 if it's your second time. I have 3 S14s so I'm gonna be doing this on all of them as soon as I find 2 more pairs in good condition and cheap like with this one. You should do it also.

the colors on the splice are incorrect and the mirrors wont work

The colors are all the same for the controls the only difference are the two wires that control the folding. the hardest part is running the new wires through from the door to the cab, what a royal PITA! The wiring is simple!
