Ok i have been trolling around for a long time and finally pushed myself to write my introduction and my build thread. My name is Cris, i am 19 years old, i live in NYC and i go to college. I have been in the street racing environment since i can remember. i love speed but disagree in doing it illegally. that doesn't mean i wont have some fun on a empty strip.ok enough about me now for what you guys really want. The cars. but first this is my long story. Story goes that my two older brothers loved Nissan. My oldest brother had a 300zx twin turbo when he was younger. The older one under the oldest goose (i will talk about him through this thread since hes my mechanic and partner in crime lol) loved 240s but never owned one. i got some money and i decided i wanted a car and he told me to look into these 240s. and the magic began. i have seen 240sx when i was little but it never really got to me until i learned about the swaps you can do motor wise. i have always loved the skylines and fell in love with the RB swaps. i also always l loved the silvia front but the rest of the body never really got to me until i found the coupe. In video games and in car meets there always fastbacks/hatches. by this time ive only seen them online kinda like a porno lol. so i go to my brother and go i want this one and i want to do "this" and "this" to it. he goes "yeah i like those two but have you seen the convertible?" i go :convertible? is that custom or something?" he goes "no, nissan actually made them" so i started searching for them and fell in love. so in may near my little brother birthday i started looking for my 240. i made my mind i would only buy a coupe or a vert. so looking in these i found a hatch with the silvia front for pretty cheap. the front was mind and its a 5 speed. so i got a parts car. This one toke about 2 weeks of searching and has things i need for my project so i felt good. heres some pics

after that i wasnt satisfied it wasnt a coupe or a vert. i went on for about 2 months after that looking for one in NY. it wasn't working then i found this guy here on nico selling one in NC and that didnt work out and i lost all hope in ever getting this rare beast of a vert. then one day goose goes hey this guy is selling a black vert in our price range and i go ok where. he goes Pennsylvania i go wow ok yeah im also waiting for this guy near Albany, NY. the Albany guy was just off my price range. he never got to me back and i never seen it so i dont know what coulve happened so we went to Pennsylvania with one of my brothers friends and i saw it cranked her up sat in it looked for rust the whole thing. i loved it the only thing i didnt like was this guy had her parked in his back yard and it was sitting for a while and it had one little piece of rust as pictures this next picture shows and a couple of dings and bents all around the top was bad interior bad.

the car has its worn but i was thinking its a 93 the price isnt overboard so the hell with it. we bought it. we came back next week and drove her home and she made it... with shaking and roughness but she made it. since she was sitting for a long time i besided to go to my friends house and take off some of the thick dirty and dust it had and this is what i got

ok now this is my first upgrade and the most important one! A ALARM!!!!!!! yes i do live in NYC and i do love my car and i dont want anyone taking it. im very paranoid about it. In this section youll see the alarm i use and some interior pics
this is the alarm of choise. it was free from my brother. he was going to use it on his maxima but he already has a alarm so he held it then gave it to me :chuckle:
Image

heres a picture of my door. theres nothing wrong with the seat belt the towel is there because i didn't want to hit the car next to me...
Image

here is my right side.. yeah the door panel kills me -_- and that stupid only clothe seat i got -_-
Image

heres my view of my dash seat and what not. yeah no radio. financial issues... and the car will get rewired anyway so things will change.
Image

the torture it was going through in the surgery
Image

oh i bought a new top of a guy i was going to replace it but then found a place who installed the top and fixed something on the skeleton for cheap. if your in the NYC area hes not bad!... and hes not good. hes a little sloppy but hey hes pretty cheap.

heres my window. i got some wrinkles in the back anyone know how i can get those out??? if so please tell me... it annoyed the crap out of me!

ok now for the front... toke us almost a whole day. and we were timed. by the sun! lol well me and gooses decided to go swap the noses. the car (hatch) is about an hour away from where i live so we got onto the vert and we drove up there. we got there around 1-2 and we needed to leave before 7 so we can get to the city with light. we werent going to wire the new headlights because we didnt have the proper tools or what not. so we went and got it done heres a almost step by step pictures.

first were the headlights. they were a bit hard to get.

and after getting all the bolts from fenders (theres a bunch of them if you need to know how i knew theres a site i will look for it if you need it just PM or comment here) i was almost in tears when i saw my car like this lol and burning. it was 100 or so outside and we were working in the sun.

Image

the other one was getting done and yes thats the fender standing. we toke the whole nose out in one piece!
