For something like bumper damage, you should probably contact your insurance company and get them to pay for the damages. A new bumper is going to cost you thousands of dollars to fix. Before I got my Rogue, I was driving a 2001 Hyundai Sonata and someone rear ended me, which destroyed my bumper. The appraiser from the insurance company said my car was a total loss meaning that it would cost the insurance company more money to fix the car than to buy it out. I received a check for $5490 since they weren't going to fix it so it would have cost more than $5000 for me to get my bumper fixed (my trunk wouldn't close also).

You have a 'red' orange Rogue?

I have a Rogue Rogue.

Anyway, you might check salvage yards, there are bound to have been some Rogues totaled by side / rear end collision by now, many yards can check a national database as well.

The bumper fascia (the plastic portion) isn't that expensive. About $200 US each for the front or rear. Assuming of course there is no damage underneath. You would then have to get it painted, primed and installed.

BTW, my pricing information was obtained from courtesyparts.com. I would encourage you to support one of our site sponsors, but I have not seen any online Rogue parts listings from them yet.

Here is the link:

i rear-ended a light pole w/ my rogue and called the dealer for repair estimate. assuming no internal damage, he said the rear bumper cover (ie...plastic fascia part) would cost about $250... but that also requires paint + labor and all that good stuff. I would imagine same goes for the front. When all is said and done expect $400-500 total bill.

On that note, if your deductible is $500 or more, don't go to your insurance.

Just to add to this post. Somebody rear ended me and although the bumper cover was not cracked, I do need a replacement. The cover itself here in Canada was quoted at $304.00. Total estimate however to paint, install etc etc, was $1500.00.

I am in the wrong line of work. I'm amazed at what body shops will charge!

Personally, I am handy and like working on my car. I would just buy the bumper, have it painted to match at the local body shop, and replace it myself.

Fortunately the guy who rear ended me said he would pay for the damages. If I had caused the damage myself I would have just touched up the scratches and lived with it. Paul

Been down that road before. I backed into a 2.5 ton cube truck with my Altima. A little touch up paint and a new taillight and I lived with it.

My boyfriend rearended someone in our rogue. We just got the estimate the other day. Assuming that nothing "underneath" was damaged, the total was around 1200, which includes a new bumper, painting and installing the bumper, and fixing the fog light, which didn't break but got shoved back and now doesn't work. That's a basic estimate from just looking at the damage from the outside and not taking the car apart. The repair guy said that everything in the front is connected to the radiator support bars, so if those got bent, it could be an easy 2000 to fix the car. Whoever paid 5k for a bumper is crazy!

Oh, and as to where to get it...we called our local Nissan dealership who highly recommended a body shop nearby...it's probably the least stressful way to get it fixed (by just taking it in to a shop)...unless you're the kind of person to call around and hope that you can get it from a junkyard off of a Rogue that's been totaled, but really, how many orange Rogues do you think have been totaled in your city? AND by the way, we found a price for the bumper online (I'd post that here if I could find the link), and told the shop guy about that price, and the price he quoted (they get parts from the local dealership) wasn't very far off from that price at all! Just do your research about part prices online and use that as leverage for part prices. The most expensive part of the whole deal is getting it painted and put on.

found that site...on this page, just click on the part number in the diagram to find the price for each part.
